About the Founder - Edie Raether
Edie Raether is the visionary founder of Wings for Wishes Academy, a Change Strategist, Brain Trainer, and authority on human potential development, neuropsychology, and behavioral health. As the Mindset Maestro, Edie integrates 50 years of experience as a psychotherapist and family counselor into her transformational program, I Believe I Can Fly! Known as The Bully Buster, Edie’s workshops for educators and her book Stop Bullying Now offer proactive solutions to youth’s social and emotional challenges.
Edie received her BS in Occupational Therapy and her MS in Counseling Education from the University of Wisconsin. Her doctoral credits are in neuropsychology. Edie has been mentored by some of the brightest minds in psychology, including Dr. Lauretta Bender (creator of the Bender-Gestalt Test), Dr. J.L. Moreno (father of psychodrama), and Dr. Jean Houston Potential (human potential development).
As a professor and human development coordinator, Edie created curricula for Child Daycare and Occupational Therapy programs. She is a bestselling author of seven books and has hosted a talk show on ABC. A world-renowned keynote and TEDx speaker, Edie continues to elevate and empower students, educators, parents, and Fortune 500 companies, helping them think BIG and be unstoppable.
